Cookie policy
This page describes what this website stores on your device, what each item is for, and how to change or withdraw your choice.
It is written against what the site actually does. If you find something here that does not match what your browser shows, that is a bug — please tell us at hello@orbs.com.
Nothing is stored for analytics until you accept
When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Until you answer, no analytics cookies are set. Choosing "Reject" means none are set at all, and choosing it again later removes our permission to set them.
This is enforced by Google Consent Mode, which is told that storage is denied before the analytics tag loads — not by hiding a banner.
What we store
Always
Your cookie choice. A single entry in your browser's local storage,
orbs.analytics-consent.v1, holding either granted or denied. Without it we
would have to ask you on every page. It is not sent to a server and is not used
to identify you.
Your appearance preference. If you change the light or dark setting, your browser remembers it locally so the site does not flash the wrong theme on the next page. By default the site follows your operating system and stores nothing.
Only after you accept
Google Analytics 4 (property G-HJ74DHDLS3), which sets cookies beginning
_ga to count visits and understand which pages are used. These are first-party
cookies, they expire within two years, and they are not used for advertising.
We do not run advertising tags, and advertising storage is denied regardless of your answer.
Changing your mind
Clearing this site's data in your browser removes both the choice and any analytics cookies. The banner will then ask again on your next visit, and the answer you give applies immediately — you do not need to reload.
Your browser's settings also let you block or delete cookies for any site. Blocking them entirely will not stop this site working; the banner simply will not appear, because there is nowhere to record an answer, and analytics stay off.
Where else your data goes
Nowhere, from this website, unless you send it to us. The contact form emails your enquiry to our team, and that is described in the privacy policy.
